Karl Rove has a couple of interesting points in this article, however I disagree with him on one of his main issues, which is his belief that TV ads do not matter anymore. I think that it was more Huckabee's intense television ads in Iowa rather than his being an excellent debater that led to his win in that state. Although Mr. Rove seems to be stating the obvious for many of his points (Technology helps candidates raise money faster? Wow!), he still has some interesting points about the early primaries becoming less important as the elections go by.
Jacob, perhaps you are right; Huckabee's skills as an orator and great debater have casted a large shadow, one that has swallowed the success of his ad campaign in Iowa. But his vicotry at the hawkeye cauci, that should be credited to his skills on the bass guitar.
